A Personal Brand is simply using your likeness to make a difference in the world. Many people use their name to build their Personal Brand as speakers, creators, authors, etc. Consider the world we live in today. There are new creations and inventions popping up every day that are either making life easier or in the least, more easy to navigate through.
There have been plenty of times that I’ve sat and daydreamed about being successful and in several different ways. But none of them ever materialized because once the daydream was complete, I had forgotten it. Has this ever happened to you? Do you ever think of those good ideas and wish you had moved on them?
If you’ve ever been unsure about what you should do or if you should consider getting started, then here are 5 tips to make it clear.
YOU’RE A LEADER. Being a leader who is also effective is a great reason to begin to launch your brand. Leaders speak and think differently and most importantly, they’re trusted enough to be followed. Combine the power of your message with your leadership ability and you’ll be well on your way to seeing the need and desire for your personal brand to be established!
LEAVE YOUR MARK IN THIS WORLD. Which could cease to exist first, you or the Internet going away forever? In 2018, you could produce an article with a unique perspective that could inspire someone to get out there and work on their dreams. YOU could be their catalyst.
YOUR PERSPECTIVE IS UNIQUE. Maybe you are in a field that is saturated with like-minded thinkers and writers. Many of them could be formally educated and/or hold several years of experience. While those people hold a distinct advantage, none of those can hold a candle to your experiences of your life hold true moments. This creates a unique value that gives you the opportunity to be different. Who doesn’t need that story?
IT’S YOUR TIME TO SHINE. You’ve been sitting on great ideas, experiences, education, and/or more for years now! Your goal shouldn’t be to leave this earth full of knowledge and wisdom. Giving your knowledge and wisdom to the world is one of the greatest joys you can experience. Rather than sit on the reasons why you cannot get out there and do it, focus on the treasures that come from it.
YOU ARE SOLVING A PROBLEM. Working behind the scenes in my church has given me a different insight into the things I’ve been called to. When new people come aboard and they’re ready to get to work, they often try out different ministries to see what fits. But most commonly, they end up identifying a problem or concern within the church and their work begins there. In regards to you and your personal brand, you should be working on and planning to release your Personal Brand when you are confident that it is solving a problem. No matter the scale of your viewpoint, if you can do something to make the world a better place, then why not get started?
Let’s keep the conversation going. Do you feel challenged to get your Personal Brand off the ground? Leave a comment and let me know!
